Senior School Happenings

As with every year, there were some movements of personnel in the senior school.. We welcome Mr Tony King who will be teaching one of two new classes, SSP. This class will be focussing on the performing arts sector. Ms Bridget Russo will be taking the other new class, SSL, which will focus on the skills required for contemporary living.

The end of our second year of VCAL year saw some very encouraging results. We received the pleasing news that one of our students, Michael Spina, won a scholarship to study hairdressing at Skilinvest which includes some paid work. Well done Michael. Congratulations to Louis Barrientos who was awarded The Rosemary Doward award on graduation night.

We will be continuing our association with ATEP to deliver a VET certificate II course in Parks and Gardens this year. A new SBAT in Food Processing will begin with Aust. Community Logistics. Students in the sport class, SSS, will continue with their Certificate II in Sport and Recreation.

So the engines are revving again. The hammers and saws have come out of their tool boxes. The frypans are sizzling and the plants are thriving. Students are planning their activities, their business ideas and their media presentations. The sports equipment is getting a pounding and we are all set for what promises to be another productive year in the senior school.
